Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL), one of the leading FMCG companies, will have full control of the Chile business of Cosmetica National, a market leading hair colorant and cosmetics company in Chile.

The company announced that it has completed the acquisition of balance 40% stake in Cosmetica.

On Jul 29, the Board of Directors of the company had approved the acquisition of the balance 40% stake in Cosmetica.

On Mar 2, the company acquired 100% stake in business of the South African company, Frika Hair.

On Feb 2, the company hiked stake in South African and Mozambique businesses of Darling Group to 90%, with an intent of gradually scaling up ownership.

Shares of the company gained Rs 24.2, or 2%, to trade at Rs 1,232.55. The total volume of shares traded was 12,735 at the BSE (9.50 a.m., Friday).
