The International crude oil price of Indian Basket declined 2.48% to USD 45.21 a barrel (bbl) on Aug. 21, 2015 as against USD 46.36 a bbl on Aug. 20, 2015.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian Basket decreased to Rs 2,976.17 a bbl on Aug. 21, 2015 as compared to Rs 3,024.53 a bbl on Aug. 20, 2015.

Rupee closed weaker at Rs 65.83 per USD on Aug. 21, 2015 as against Rs 65.24 per USD on Aug. 20, 2015.

Indian equities continued to decline on Monday. At 10.19 a.m, the Sensex was trading down 952.31 points or 3.48% at 26,413.76 with 30 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 257.95 points or 3.11% at 8,042.00 with 52 components falling.
