Glenmark Pharmaceutical (Glenmark), a manufacturer of generic formulation products and API, announced that Glenmark Generics, has been granted final abbreviated new drug approval (ANDA) from the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for Norethindrone Acetate and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets USP, 0.5 mg/2.5 mcg and 1mg/ 5mcg.

Glenmark will commence distribution of the product immediately.

Shares of the company gained Rs 6.4, or 0.75%, to trade at Rs 854.35. The total volume of shares traded was 38,032 at the BSE (9.43 a.m., Tuesday).
