GE Power India has been awarded a contract worth approximately Rs. 3.09 billion (USD 47.50 million) by NTPC to install its Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) system at Phase-I (2X800 MW) of its Super Thermal Power Project (STPP) in Telangana.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till Mar. 20, 2018, falling 17.27% compared with the Sensex's 2.10% decline. It outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 22.59% as against 2.31% fall in the Sensex.
Shares of the company gained Rs 15.85, or 1.9%, to trade at Rs 850.00. The total volume of shares traded was 576 at the BSE (9.29 a.m., Wednesday).
