Gammon India, construction and engineering company, has secured two projects in environment & transportation sector worth around Rs 8.40 billion.
The first project in the environment and pipeline sector is for the channelization of Gomti River valued at Rs 5.16 billion.
The second order is for the four laning of national highway (NH)-37A with a distance of 17.30 kilometre from Kaliabor Tinali Road to Dolabari Road Junction, worth Rs 3.23 billion.
Shares of the company gained Rs 2.95, or 14.22%, to trade at Rs 23.70. The total volume of shares traded was 414,942 at the BSE (11.04 a.m., Thursday).
