FIIs reduces stake in Canara Bank

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have reduced shareholding in Canara Bank over the last three months. FIIs' shareholding decreased by 68 basis points to 10.82 percent at the end of September 2014 quarter from 11.5 percent as on Jun 30, 2014.

Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have raised shareholding in Canara Bank over the last three months. DIIs' shareholding increased by 12 basis points to 12.71 percent at the end of September 2014 quarter from 12.59 percent as on Jun 30, 2014.

Non Institutions were holding 7.47 percent stake at the end of September 2014 quarter, up 56 basis points from 6.91 percent as on Jun 30, 2014.

Corporate bodies were holding 1.45 percent stake at the end of September 2014 quarter, up 09 basis points from 1.36 percent as on Jun 30, 2014.

Promoters' shareholding was unchanged at 69 percent at the end of September 2014. Indian promoters' shareholding was unchanged at 69 percent at the end of September 2014. Foreign promoters' shareholding was unchanged at percent at the end of September 2014.

Shares of the bank gained Rs 1.85, or 0.53%, to trade at Rs 350.80. The total volume of shares traded was 39,560 at the BSE (10.21 a.m., Wednesday).
