FIIs raise shareholding in GAIL during Q2; DIIs cut exposure

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have raised shareholding in GAIL (India) over the last three months. FIIs' shareholding increased by 34 basis points to 19.11 percent at the end of September 2014 quarter from 18.77 percent as on Jun 30, 2014.

Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have reduced shareholding in GAIL (India) over the last three months. DIIs' shareholding decreased by 4 basis points to 20.89 percent at the end of September 2014 quarter from 21.29 percent as on Jun 30, 2014.

Non Institutions were holding 2.33 percent stake at the end of September 2014 quarter, up 04 basis points from 2.29 percent as on Jun 30, 2014.

Corporate bodies were holding 0.54 percent stake at the end of September 2014 quarter, up 05 basis points from 0.49 percent as on Jun 30, 2014.

Promoters' shareholding was unchanged at 56.11 percent at the end of September 2014. Indian promoters' shareholding was unchanged at 56.11 percent at the end of September 2014. Foreign promoters' shareholding was unchanged at percent at the end of September 2014.

Shares of the company declined Rs 3.3, or 0.74%, to trade at Rs 440.15. The total volume of shares traded was 89,827 at the BSE (2.41 p.m., Wednesday).
