Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 129.0 million on both BSE, NSE and MCX-SX on July 21, as per provisional data available at the BSE. They bought equities worth Rs 53.13 billion and sold equities worth Rs 53.00 billion.
Similarly, domestic institutional investors (DIIs), which include banks, DFIs, insurance and MFs, were net buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 1.47 billion. They bought equities worth Rs 27.19 billion and sold equities worth Rs 25.71 billion.
Local stock markets bounced back on Friday snapping earlier losses. The broad based Nifty traded near life time high. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex added 124.49 or 0.39% at 32,028.89 with 11 components registering rise. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty went up by 41.95 or 0.42% at 9,915.25 with 19 components registering rise.
