Engineers India, a state run engineering and related technical services provider,  has secured a consultancy contract from Assam Petrochemicals. The said contract is for Assam Petrochemicals' proposed 500 TPD Methanol Plant and 200 TPD Acetic Acid Plant at Namrup, Assam.

EIL scope under the contract involves license, engineering, procurement and construction management (LEPCM) Services for Methanol ISBL Plant and Integrated OSBL Plant of 500 TPD for Methanol & 200 TPD Acetic Acid Plant. The contract completion schedule is 36 months.

Shares of the company gained Rs 3.8, or 1.53%, to settle at Rs 252.35. The total volume of shares traded was 385,162 at the BSE (Monday).
