Eicher Motors, one of the leading players in automobile industry, witnessed a rise in share price on Wednesday after announced total motorcycle sales of 37,341 units in June 2015 as compared to 25,303 units in June 2014, representing a growth of 48%.

Models with engine capacity upto 350cc witnessed a 50% growth in sales to 33,048 vehicles compared with 22,076 units in the same month last year.

Meanwhile models with engine capacity exceeding 350cc recorded an 33% growth in sales to 4,293 vehicles, compared with 3,230 units in the same month last year.

Shares of Eicher Motors are trading at Rs 20,320, up Rs 741.85, or 3.79% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 2:21 p.m.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 238.45% to 108,413 compared with 22-day average volume of 32,033.
