Eicher Motors, one of the leading players in automobile industry, announced total motorcycle sales of 28,634 units in December 2014 as compared to 19,312 units in December 2013, representing a growth of 48%. Models with engine capacity upto 350cc witnessed a 50% growth in sales to 25,092 vehicles compared with 16,676 units in the same month last year.

Meanwhile models with engine capacity exceeding upto 350cc recorded an 34% growth in sales to 3,542 vehicles, compared with 2,636 units in the same month last year.
 
For the period January-December 2014, the company recorded total motorcycle sales of 302,591 units compared to 178,120 units in the corresponding period a year ago, representing a growth of 70%.

Shares of the company gained Rs 127.5, or 0.84%, to settle at Rs 15,231.00. The total volume of shares traded was 3,910 at the BSE (Thursday).
