Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have reduced shareholding in Larsen & Toubro (L&T) over the last three months. DIIs' shareholding decreased by 87 basis points to 35.69 percent at the end of September 2014 quarter from 36.56 percent as on Jun 30, 2014.

Foreign institutional investors' (FIIs) shareholding decreased by 79 basis points to 18.82 percent at the end of September 2014 quarter from 19.61 percent as on Jun 30, 2014.

Non Institutions were holding 43.24 percent stake at the end of September 2014 quarter, up 174 basis points from 41.5 percent as on Jun 30, 2014.

Corporate bodies were holding 8.28 percent stake at the end of September 2014 quarter, up 111 basis points from 7.17 percent as on Jun 30, 2014.

Shares of the company gained Rs 9.25, or 0.59%, to settle at Rs 1,576.20. The total volume of shares traded was 129,747 at the BSE (Tuesday).
