The international crude oil price of Indian basket declined 1.73% to USD 45.53 a barrel (bbl) on Oct. 2, 2015 as against USD 46.33 a bbl on Oct. 1, 2015.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian Basket decreased to Rs 2,984.86 a bbl on Oct. 2, 2015 as compared to Rs 3,037.26 a bbl on Oct. 1, 2015. Rupee closed at Rs 65.55 per USD on Oct. 2, 2015.

Indian markets continued to rise on Monday. At 1.02 p.m, the Sensex was trading up 408.42 points or 1.56% at 26,629.37 with 24 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 109.15 points or 1.37% at 8,060.05 with 42 components gaining.
