Crompton Greaves (CG) said that the board of directors has decided to implement a 100% demerger of the consumer products business, such that the shareholding pattern of the Resulting Consumer Company shall mirror the shareholding pattern of CG.

A scheme of arrangement incorporating will soon be considered by the board of directors.

Shares of the company gained Rs 5.8, or 3.24%, to trade at Rs 184.95. The total volume of shares traded was 921,336 at the BSE (12.16 p.m., Friday).
