Crompton Greaves, Adani Power gain after Avantha's Kobra plant project

Crompton Greaves and Adani Power witnessed a rise in share prices on Monday after Avantha Power & Infrastructure (APIL) in which CG holds an equity investment of approx 23.14% has informed that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adani Power for 100% sale of APIL's Korba West Power Company (KWPCL).

KWPCL, a SPV of APIL, is commissioning a coal based thermal power plant of 600 MW. KWPCL is valued in excess of Rs 42 billion.

Shares of Crompton Greaves are trading at Rs 203.75, up Rs 8.1, or 4.14% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday at 11:10 a.m.

Meanwhile, Shares of Adani Power are trading at Rs 46.20, up Rs 0.85, or 1.87% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday at 11:10 a.m.
