Consumer price inflation in India, as represented by Consumer Price Index (CPI), increased to 2.33% in November from 3.38% in the previous month. In November 2017, CPI inflation was at 4.88%. Consumer Food Price Index (CFPI) negative at 2.61% from 0.86% negative in the previous month. In November 2017, CFPI inflation was at 4.35%.
Food and beverages price inflation stood at 1.62% negative, while prices of pan, tobacco and intoxicants went up to 6.44%.
Clothing and footwear price inflation has recorded a rise of 2.44% in prices.
Fuel and light inflation has seen increase of 6.66%. Household goods and services inflation was 6.17%.
Health segment inflation was 7.00%. Transport and communication gained in inflation of 7.07%.
