Nestle India, the leading nutrition, health and wellness company, said that the company is confident of the quality and safety of MAGGI Noodles. The company will defend themselves vigorously against the case filed by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

Nestle India said, "It has been brought to our attention that the Supreme Court website has posted that FSSAI has filed a case against Nestle India and others."

"However, we have not been served a notice about this and are not yet aware of its content," it added.

On Nov. 9, 2015, the company re-launched MAGGI Noodles in over 100 towns. The company has strongly maintained that MAGGI Noodles has always been safe for consumption, quality and food safety are non-negotiable for the company.

Shares of the company declined Rs 3.2, or 0.05%, to trade at Rs 5,980.70. The total volume of shares traded was 2,303 at the BSE (11.02 a.m., Tuesday).
