Colgate-Palmolive (India) said a good increase in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 23.68% to Rs 1,636.30 million from Rs 1,323.00 million in the same quarter last year.

Total income for the quarter rose 11.21% to Rs 10,356.50 million, compared with Rs 9,312 million for the prior year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 4.2, or 0.2%, to trade at Rs 2,079.85. The total volume of shares traded was 76,401 at the BSE (2.50 p.m., Tuesday).
