Coal India achieves 98% target production in December

Coal India (CIL), an Indian state-controlled coal mining company, has achieved 47.93 million tons of coal production for December 2014, which was 98% of target production of 47 million tons. 
 
CIL achieved actual offtake of 46.49 million tons for December 2014, which was 94% of target production of 43.91 million tons for December 2014.

Earlier, the company announced it has achieved 45.69 million tons of coal production for November 2014, which was 97% of target production of 44.42 million tons.

Shares of the company declined Rs 1.35, or 0.35%, to trade at Rs 382.40. The total volume of shares traded was 91,517 at the BSE (3.03 p.m., Friday).
