Coal India achieves 98% target production in August

Coal India (CIL), an Indian state-controlled coal mining company, has achieved 34.54 million tons of coal production for August 2014, which was 98% of target production of 35.13 million tons. 
 
CIL achieved actual offtake of 37.30 million tons for August 2014, which was 99% of target production of 37.83 million tons for August 2014.

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.25, or 0.34%, to trade at Rs 366.60. The total volume of shares traded was 90,173 at the BSE (1.38 p.m., Tuesday).
