Coal India achieves 101% target production in October

Coal India (CIL), an Indian state-controlled coal mining company, has achieved 39.74 million tons of coal production for October 2014, which was 101% of target production of 40.20 million tons. 
 
CIL achieved actual offtake of 40.94 million tons for October 2014, which was 96% of target production of 39.11 million tons for October 2014.

Earlier, the company announced it has achieved 36.17 million tons of coal production for September 2014, which was 96% of target production of 34.88 million tons. CIL achieved actual offtake of 36.76 million tons for September 2014, which was 96% of target production of 35.12 million tons for September 2014.

Shares of the company declined Rs 5.05, or 1.37%, to trade at Rs 364.30 (1 p.m., Monday).
