Cerebra Integrated Technologies (Cerebra) today started the construction of its E-waste recycling facility at Narsapura, Bangalore.
The construction is coming up on a 12 acre industrial land at Narsapura near Bangalore. The entire construction will be pre-fabricated to shorten the duration of the construction and plans to start trial production in about six months' time, the company said.
V. Ranganathan, managing director, Cerebra said, ''As we commence construction of our E-Waste plant we look forward to making our environment cleaner and more valuable. The unit will facilitate refining and recycling activities as well as enable refurbishment of e-waste to enhance the value. This business will be the mainstay of Cerebra in the years to come and with this plant coming up Cerebra is poised to grow exponentially both in terms of revenue and profits in the years to come.''
For over two decades, Cerebra has been helping the country's IT ecosystem by providing IT hardware infrastructure services through its sales offices, sales/distribution partners, OEMs, governmental entities and academic institutions, among others. Now the current initiative to set up one of India's largest e-Waste Recycling Facilities will be a reverse process of collection of all IT, WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment] will be an added feather in the cap going forward.
Recently Cerebra promoters increased their stake in the company and also had announced the signing of an MOU with a US based company Echostreams for manufacture of Cerebra branded storage servers which will also give a boost to the company for partnerships in its above green initiatives.
