Carborundum Universal said that the company has allotted 2,568 shares of Re 1 each arising out of the exercise of stock options, granted to the option grantees of the company under the Employees Stock Option Scheme 2007 on Dec. 20, 2014.

With this allotment the number of equity shares outstanding is 188,053,896 and the paid-up equity share capital is Rs 188,053,896.

Shares of the company declined Rs 3.5, or 2.05%, to trade at Rs 166.90. The total volume of shares traded was 17,060 at the BSE (2.52 p.m., Tuesday).
