Bharat Petroleum Corporation disclosed a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 2.19 times to Rs 10,180.40 million from Rs 4,642.00 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter declined 25.08% to Rs 464,735.50 million, compared with Rs 620,282.30 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 2.87 percent as compared to 1.81 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 13,320.80 million, compared with Rs 11206.4 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 14.08, registering 2.19 times growth over previous year period.

The board of directors of the company has declared payment of second interim dividend of Rs. 21 a share on an equity share value of Rs. 10 each. The date fixed for payment of dividend is on or before Nov. 30, 2015.
Shares of the company gained Rs 7.95, or 0.89%, to settle at Rs 903.85. The total volume of shares traded was 142,024 at the BSE (Monday).
