BEML has rolled out country's first electric drive rear dump truck BH205-E for large scale coal mining applications. BH205E rear dump truck is powered by Tier-II emission compliant modular common rail electronic engine with 2300 HP. AC drive system has been engineered to provide exceptional haul road performance with reduced maintenance.

BH205E weighing 335 tons when fully loaded is easily manoeuvrable with power steering with wide steering angle, resulting in short turning radius and good manoeuvrability.

With the introduction of his new generation dump truck, BEML has touched another milestone in the R&D efforts in achieving self-reliance, enhanced productivity in mining operations in line with 'Make in India' policy and increased coal production, apart from optimizing costs.

Shares of the company gained Rs 7.95, or 0.77%, to settle at Rs 1,039. The total volume of shares traded was 135,056 at the BSE (Thursday).
