Bharat Electronics (BEL) has received an order at Aero India 2015 from Elbit Systems Electro-Optical Elop, of Israel for the production of Elop's Compact Multi-purpose advanced stabilized systems (CoMPASS).

This is in addition to an earlier order for the supply of CoMPASS, received by BEL from Elop in 2014.

Previously, BEL has entered into a Technical Collaboration agreement with Elop for the joint production and D-level maintenance of CoMPASS for the Advanced light Helicopter (ALH) Programme. BEL has absorbed transfer of technology (ToT) for production of CoMPASS in India. CoMPASS is used in the ALH being manufactured by HAL.

Shares of the company declined Rs 77.45, or 1.94%, to trade at Rs 3,920.50. The total volume of shares traded was 34,481 at the BSE (11.17 a.m., Thursday).
