Balaji Telefilms, one of the country's largest production house, witnessed a rise in share price on Friday after it has marked its foray into the American Television market by inking an American Television Series production deal with Indus Media. This deal will see Balaji secure rights to the TV series Brown Nation, a satirical comedy based on the lives of Indian Americans.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 68.60, up Rs 0.95, or 1.40% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 10:29 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 71.00 and low of Rs 68.60. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 26,898.
