Bajaj Auto, one of the leading 2 and 3 wheeler makers, announced a fall of 4% in sales to 3,84,400 units in September compared to 3,99,450 units sold in last year period.
Motorcycle sales decreased by 5% from a year ago to 3,30,228 units, while commercial vehicle sales up 3% over previous year to 54,172 units.
Out of the total sales, exports stood 1,73,801 units in September from 1,74,211 units in the same month last year.
Shares of the company gained Rs 49.15, or 2.12%, to trade at Rs 2,363.00. The total volume of shares traded was 7,764 at the BSE (10.40 a.m., Monday).
