Bajaj Auto, one of the leading 2 and 3 wheeler makers, announced a marginal fall of 3% in sales to 2,89,244 units in December compared to 2,97,776 units sold in last year period. Motorcycle sales has also decreased by 6% from a year ago to 2,46,233 units, while commercial vehicle sales were up 16% to 43,011 units.
In the month of November, the company announced a marginal fall of 0.43% in sales to 3,09,259 units in November compared to 3,10,591 units sold in last year period. Motorcycle sales has also decreased by 6% from a year ago to 2,61,948 units, while commercial vehicle sales were up 48% to 47,311 units.
Shares of the company gained Rs 12.25, or 0.5%, to trade at Rs 2,450.70. The total volume of shares traded was 3,992 at the BSE (9.51 a.m., Friday).
