Bajaj Auto, one of the leading 2 and 3 wheeler makers, witnessed a rise in share price on Thursday after the company announced a rise of 8% in sales to 3,31,317units in June compared to 3,05,465 units sold in last year period.
Motorcycle sales increased by 10% from a year ago to 2,87,582 units, while commercial vehicle sales went up 1% over previous year to 43,735 units.
Out of the total sales, exports stood 1,56,074 units in June, up 16% from 1,35,074 units in the same month last year.
Shares of Bajaj Auto are trading at Rs 2,572.95, up Rs 49.35, or 1.96% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday at 9:45 a.m.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 89.95% to 43,889 compared with 22-day average volume of 436,757.
