Ashoka Buildcon, engaged in building and operating road and bridge projects, announced that Ashoka Infrastructure (SPV), its wholly owned subsidiary has received an arbitral award aggregating Rs 898.1 million.
The amount has been received in lieu of the claims filed by the company while executing Pune-Shirur Road project in the State of Maharashtra. This amount will further receive an interest from July 06, 2015 till the date of payment.
The project had been awarded by Government of Maharashtra, executive engineer, public works department - world bank project division.
Shares of the company gained Rs 1.9, or 1%, to settle at Rs 191.30. The total volume of shares traded was 36,586 at the BSE (Thursday).
