Ashok Leyland, the commercial vehicle manufacturer, has reported an increase of 24% in sales in March 2015 to 12,754 units as against 10,281 units sold in the same period of last year. The company experienced a rise of 30% in its M&HCV products segment to 10,027 units in March.
The company's large commercial vehicle (LCV) witnessed a rise of 6% to 2,727 units in March. Sales for April 2014-March 2015 went up 17% over previous year period to 104,902 units.
Shares of the company gained Rs 1.05, or 1.43%, to trade at Rs 74.60. The total volume of shares traded was 924,134 at the BSE (1.12 p.m., Wednesday).
