Arvind, one of the largest integrated textile and branded apparel players, witnessed a rise in share price on Thursday after it disclosed a small rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended December 2014.
During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 6.78% to Rs 1,091.00 million from Rs 1,021.70 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 17.05% to Rs 20,737.10 million, compared with Rs 17,716.4 million for the prior year period.
Shares of the company gained Rs 5.55, or 1.90%, to trade at Rs 297.60 at the BSE (02.04 p.m., Thursday).
