Advance IP Technologies (AIPT), a step down subsidiary company of Arrow Coated Products has received a grant for patent titled ''A Water Soluble Multi Layer Filmic Product,'' from Indian Patent Office. The rights under this patent are protected till 2025.

This invention relates to a dosing system which contains active ingredients, embedded within and/or coated upon water soluble or water dispersible polymers. 

The active ingredients are released at a precise rate from a readily soluble polymer into an aqueous environment through one or more perforated, less readily soluble water soluble films.

Inputs from professionals based in Israel and from experts in water soluble films, based in UK, were garnered to design this hi-tech product. The use of the Patent will save human beings from the obligation of coming back to Hospital, during post operative periods.

Shares of the company gained Rs 19.50, or 3.65%, to trade at Rs 553.73 at the BSE (Wednesday).
