Alstom T&D India commissioned the Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (RVPN) 765 kV substation in Anta. Anta is Rajasthan's first 765 kV substation, and the second largest with a total of twenty-six bays, ten 765 kV bays and sixteen 400 kV bays.
This substation will play a significant role in pooling and evacuating the power flow from the three major power plants in the state to the national grid.
Rathin Basu, country president, Alstom India & south Asia said, "The successful commissioning of the 765 kV Anta project is a major testimony in building Rajasthan's HV and EHV grid. Despite challenging weather conditions, the Alstom and RVPN team commissioned the prestigious project in time to initiate power flow between Anta and Phagi substations. We look forward to building future HV and EHV substations to strengthen Rajasthan's electrical grid, including potential large scale induction of renewable power."
