Alstom T&D India, a leading player in the power transmission business, has secured orders of around Euro 32 million (Rs 2.46 billion) from Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company (MSETCL) to build 400/200 kv grid substations at Kudus, Alkud and Kondhwa in Maharashtra.
The substations will strengthen the 220 kv transmission network as part of Maharashtra's 12th five year plan to strengthen the transmission system and enhance the capacity of power evacuation systems.
Shares of the company gained Rs 9.2, or 2.05%, to trade at Rs 458. The total volume of shares traded was 33,308 at the BSE (12.37 p.m., Friday).
