Alphageo (India), the onshore integrated seismic service provider in the private sector, has been awarded a contract for 2D Seismic data acquisition and processing in the state of Gujarat  from NTPC. The estimated contract value is Rs 19.9 million.

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.5, or 0.32%, to settle  at  Rs 468.40. Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 254.20% to 8,997 compared with 22-day average volume of 2,540.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till May. 15, 2015, falling 19.21% compared with the Sensex`s 5.12% decline. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 24.18% as against 6.09% fall in the Sensex.
