ACC, one of the leading cement makers, has reported a fall in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company dropped 39.15% to Rs 1.15 billion from Rs 1.89 billion in the same quarter last year.

Total income for the quarter declined by 1% to Rs 27.89 billion, compared with Rs 28.15 billion for the prior year period.

Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 6.12, registering 40.18% fall over previous year period.

Shares of the company declined Rs 18.55, or 1.33%, to settle at Rs 1,378.05. The total volume of shares traded was 39,958 at the BSE (Tuesday).
