ABB India announced a substantial rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 30.59% to Rs 587.40 million from Rs 449.80 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter rose 6.69% to Rs 19,694.90 million, compared with Rs 18,460 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 7.96 percent as compared to 6.72 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 1,567.40 million, compared with Rs 1241.3 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 3.00, registering 50.00% growth over previous year period.
The order backlog stood at Rs 82.75 billion as on Sep. 30, 2015, providing visibility for future revenue.
''Continued confidence in the value addition of our portfolio of advanced and integrated solutions resulted in a good build-up of orders for the quarter,'' said Bazmi Husain, Managing Director, ABB India. ''We will carefully optimize cost and cash in a market which continues to remain uncertain in its outlook, awaiting a broad-based recovery.''
