Aban Offshore disclosed a sharp rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 91.49% to Rs 1,487.50 million from Rs 776.81 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter rose marginally 1.69% to Rs 10,184.94 million, compared with Rs 10,016 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 29.52, registering 66.50% growth over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 9.45, or 1.51%, to trade at Rs 633.40. The total volume of shares traded was 242,290 at the BSE (3.58 p.m., Monday).
