European stock markets settled lower on Wednesdayr, as investor appeared, for now, to set aside the geopolitical worries emanating from Syria.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 1.53 points or 0.04 percent to settle at 3,468.51. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 went down 16.51 points or 0.22 percent to close at 7,348.99. French benchmark index CAC 40 shed 0.74 points or 0.01 percent to end at 5,101.11.
On the other hand, Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 15.35 points or 0.13 percent to end at 12,154.70.
