Asian stock markets settled lower on Monday as investors continued to worry about the Trump’s administration’s inability to push through its policy initiatives.
Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 declined 276.94 points or 1.44 percent to settle at 18,985.59. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite lost 2.49 points or 0.08 percent to close at 3,266.96. Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 164.57 points or 0.68 percent to end at 24,193.70.
Singapore's Straits Times fell 16.02 points or 0.51 percent to end at 3,126.88. South Korea's KOSPI declined 13.29 points or 0.61 percent to end at 2,155.66. Taiwan's TAIEX lost 26.21 points or 0.26 percent to end at 9,876.77.
