Call rate surges 191 bps to 8.03%

Call money weighted average rate (WAR) rose 191 basis points to 8.03% compared with 6.12% on last trading day. As at 10.08 am, call rate was 8% after touching high of 8.05% and low of 7.90%. It opened at 8.05%. Turnover of the call market stood at Rs 30.60 billion compared with Rs 3.96 billion on previous day. CBLO (collaterized borrowing and lending obligation) increased 44 basis points to 7.97% compared with 7.53% on last trading day. CBLO was last traded at 7.99% after touching high of 8% and low of 7.95%. It opened at 7.98%. CBLO turnover stood at Rs 245.23 billion compared with Rs 54.17 billion. WAR Market repo came at 8.01%. Market repo was touching high of 8.10% and low of 7.75%. It opened at 8%. Turnover for market repo stood came at Rs 257.73 billion.
