The international crude oil price of Indian basket gained 0.68% to USD 54.92 a barrel (bbl) on April 12, 2017 as against USD 54.55 a bbl on April 11, 2017.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian basket increased to Rs 3,552.86 a bbl on April 12, 2017 as compared to Rs 3,520.72 a bbl on April 11, 2017.

Rupee closed weaker at Rs. 64.69 per USD on April 12, 2017 as against Rs. 64.54 per USD on April 11, 2017.

Local stock markets continued to fall for the second day on Thursday. At 03.12 p.m, the Sensex was trading down 183.88 points or 0.62% at 29,459.60 with 18 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 50.05 points or 0.54% at 9,153.40 with 34 components falling.
