The international crude oil price of Indian basket gained 0.23% to USD 50.53 a barrel (bbl) on March 21, 2017 as against USD 50.39 a bbl on March 20, 2017.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian basket increased to Rs 3,300.30 a bbl on March 21, 2017 as compared to Rs 3,294.95 a bbl on March 20, 2017.

Rupee closed stronger at Rs 65.31 per USD on March 21, 2017 as compared to Rs 65.38 per USD on March 20, 2017.

Local stock markets continued to decline for the third day on Wednesday. At 11.20 a.m, the Sensex was trading down 237.37 points or 0.81% at 29,248.08 with 29 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 79.10 points or 0.87% at 9,042.40 with 47 components falling.
