Crude oil price of Indian basket rises marginally

The international crude oil price of Indian basket gained 0.73% to USD 55.37 a barrel (bbl) on February 21, 2017 as against USD 54.97 a bbl on February 20, 2017.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian basket increased to Rs 3,708.85 a bbl on February 21, 2017 as compared to Rs 3,681.51 a bbl on February 20, 2017.

Rupee closed at Rs. 66.98 per USD on February 20, 2017.

Local stock markets continued to gain for the fifth day on Wednesday. Both Sensex and Nifty were trading above 5-month high. At 11.38 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 119.50 points or 0.42% at 28,881.09 with 12 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 34.75 points or 0.39% at 8,942.60 with 28 components gaining.
