Crude oil price of Indian basket rises marginally

The international crude oil price of Indian basket gained 0.75% to USD 54.97 a barrel (bbl) on February 20, 2017 as against USD 54.56 a bbl on February 17, 2017.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian basket increased to Rs 3,681.51 a bbl on February 20, 2017 as compared to Rs 3,657.88 a bbl on February 17, 2017.

Rupee closed stronger at Rs 66.98 per USD on February 20, 2017 as against Rs 67.05 per USD on February 17, 2017.

Local stock markets dropped on Tuesday erasing earlier gains. The Nifty was trading above 5-month high. At 10.29 a.m, the Sensex was trading down 37.93 points or 0.13% at 28,623.65 with 14 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 4.15 points or 0.05% at 8,883.35 with 27 components gaining.
