The international crude oil price of Indian basket gained 1.07% to USD 50.25 a barrel (bbl) on March 15, 2017 as against USD 49.72 a bbl on March 14, 2017.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian basket increased to Rs 3,292.37 a bbl on March 15, 2017 as compared to Rs 3,290.23 a bbl on March 14, 2017.

Rupee closed stronger at Rs 65.51 per USD on March 15, 2017 as compared to Rs 66.18 per USD on March 14, 2017.

Local stock markets bounced back on Thursday snapping earlier losses. At 11.14 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 135.11 points or 0.46% at 29,533.22 with 23 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 51.75 points or 0.57% at 9,136.55 with 40 components gaining.
