The international crude oil price of Indian basket declined 0.49% to USD 53.24 a barrel (bbl) on April 19, 2017 as against USD 53.50 a bbl on April 18, 2017.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian basket decreased to Rs 3,436.26 a bbl on April 19, 2017 as compared to Rs 3,454.49 a bbl on April 18, 2017.

Rupee closed stronger at Rs. 64.54 per USD on April 19, 2017 as against Rs. 64.57 per USD on April 18, 2017.

Local stock markets continued to rally for the second day on Thursday. At 11.45 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 75.40 points or 0.26% at 29,411.97 with 17 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 27.40 points or 0.30% at 9,130.90 with 32 components gaining.
