Crude oil price of Indian basket falls marginally

The international crude oil price of Indian basket declined 0.65% to USD 55.01 a barrel (bbl) on February 22, 2017 as against USD 55.37 a bbl on February 21, 2017.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian basket decreased to Rs 3,684.01 a bbl on February 22, 2017 as compared to Rs 3,708.85 a bbl on February 21, 2017.

Rupee closed stronger at Rs 66.96 per USD on February 22, 2017 as compared to Rs. 66.98  per USD on February 21, 2017.

Local stock markets continued to gain for the sixth day on Thursday. At 11.08 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 90.69 points or 0.31% at 28,955.40 with 20 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 26.55 points or 0.30% at 8,953.45 with 32 components gaining.
